ELBOW LIMIT MOMENT ANALYSIS

ELBOW LIMIT MOMENT ANALYSIS

ELBOW LIMIT MOMENT ANALYSIS

(OP)
Hi!
I am  doing linit load analysis of 90 degree pipe elbows subjected  1)to out of plane moment alone and
2)Out of plane moment and internal pressure acting simultaneously.

I simulated th emoment by equal and opposite  pressure on two halves of the pipe cross section. As there is no  symmetry for out of palne loading I used full model of the elbow with staraight pipe of lenght 5D on both ends of the elbow to reduce end effects.

my problem is - what are the  boundary conditions I should apply in the above two cases?
please help.
