Dielectric constants of polymer melts

Dielectric constants of polymer melts

Dielectric constants of polymer melts

(OP)
Does anyone have any information on dielectric constants of polymer melts?  I can find information about the solid state of various polymers but nothing on the molten state.  For example, does anyone know the difference in the dielectric constant between solid and molten PET?

RE: Dielectric constants of polymer melts

I know that work has been done where they imbed two electrodes in epoxy and then cure it. At the gel point the molecules become immobile and the dielectric constant changes. This was looked at as a way to detect the gel point as that's important when making epoxy composites. So the answer is that the dielectric constant will be different in the solid versus melt and that if you look you should find some data on it.
