In  an ASME B31-1 (2004 Edition - 2006 Addenda) Nonboiler External Piping and Joint (NBEP) equipment - the ASME Code Committee for Pressure Piping, B31, has total administrative and technical responsibility .
A Steam Valve is to be ordered and the supplier can furnish such a Valve according to ASME VIII-1 .

Design Pressure    : 150 BARa
Design Temperature : 572.7 °C

Question 1 : How can we state that this valve is acceptable according to ASME B31-1 ?

Question 2 : If ASME VIII-1 is acceptable for ASME B31-1 Steam Valves, what are the criteria to be fulfilled to produce an acceptable Steam Valve  ?
