maintain work part?

maintain work part?

maintain work part?

(OP)
I've set up a site default file for our 2 seat system, and all seems fine, one of the settings which i finally got to work right, was to maintain the work part so that when i come back to the main assembly from a peice part, that the main assembly is now the work part... fine.... done..
Except, on the other machine, it doesn't do that, but it seems to be creating parts ok using all of the site defaults.
But if i open an assembly created on the other machine, my maintain work part works.
 Any help much appreciated..

RE: maintain work part?

On the station where you're having problems, go to File -> Utilities -> Customer Defaults... -> Assemblies -> General -> Work Part and make sure that the 'Maintain Work Part' is toggled OFF.  Also you may wish to check Preferences -> Assmemblies... and check that the 'Maintain' (at the top of the dialog) is also toggled OFF.
