RE: RENISHAW programming in NX?
Most of the Probing routines are sub programs you need to call and pass a string of variables.
If you understand Post Builder you could customize the Post Processor and add these as User Defineind Events and then use a drilling operation to position the machine for probing.
RE: RENISHAW programming in NX?
I can recollect using Renishaw heads on a range of equipment, so that I'd have to know what you are programming, and how your measurements may need to be applied. Generally I fed a point and a vector into a GRIP program outputting a text file with serviceable results. I didn't try to cater for all possible eventualities preferring to stick to the simple stuff and re-program nasty approaches by hand on the rare occasion it was needed.
If you're interested in GRIP my best guess would be that I probably never strayed too far from adapting something available in the GRIP library. I had a brief look and it seems I haven't a copy of the source code any longer.
Good Luck
Hudson.
