standards for taprogge systems

standards for taprogge systems

standards for taprogge systems

(OP)
I am writing a specification for a condenser tube cleaning system (taprogge is a major manufacturer like kleenex to tissue paper) , which is relativly new to me.

Does anybody have any idea as to which standards i should sight that might offer relative guidance on these types of systems?

RE: standards for taprogge systems

One of the things that you want to specify is that the equipment be designed to minimize or even prevent ball hide out.

Check and find out what is the proper ratio of ball size to screen perforation size to prevent ball loss (to the river or cooling tower).

Make sure that the reinjection point is located so that there will be good ball distribution across the entire face of the condenser inlet side tubesheet.

Taprogge is a good system, but they aren't the only game in town.  Be sure to talk to other vendors and get their proposals as well.
