Pavement/Foundation subbase aggregates

Pavement/Foundation subbase aggregates

(OP)
I've recently moved to MD from PA, and am familiar with the aggregate sizes that PennDOT uses, and am curious as to the performance of MD State Highway Admin. aggregates.  How similar is the Graded Aggregate specification to a compactable PennDOT #2A aggregate?  The gradation requirements of this aggregate spec. very closely match the 2A spec.

What aggregates are typically used as a pavement subbase spec?

Thanks for the input!
