Why Mathcad takes a long time to save??

Why Mathcad takes a long time to save??

Why Mathcad takes a long time to save??

(OP)
Hello everyone:

When my Mathcad file getting bigger and bigger, the time to save the file getting larger too. The same as the time to calculate the whole worksheet!

I am wonderring if there is some "preferences" change or anything else help me save it faster during editting??

Thanks a lot. :)

RE: Why Mathcad takes a long time to save??

If you're using anything after M11, then you're paying the price of the file format being converted to XML.

You should look at any images that you're saving and whether they're necessary and/or convertible to a more efficient format.

Hi TTFN:

Thanks for your quick response.

I am using Mathcad 13.1
I indeed have many images in the worksheet. They are all "x-y plot" images.
Please tell me what I should do to reduce the saving time? :)

RE: Why Mathcad takes a long time to save??

You could try saving in the M13 compressed format, or downsave to M11 format, unless you're using something that's not available in M11.

I save down to Ver12 and find it fast enough.  It's a royal pain because there is no setting to make it automatic.
