LV HV side interchanged in transformer
LV HV side interchanged in transformer
(OP)
Hello,
Let's say there's a power transformer : 480/230 VAC,
should we *always* use it as step DOWN? by connecting the source (480 V) to HV side and load (230 V) to LV side?
or can we use it as step UP transformer? by connecting a load (480 V) to HV side and source (230 V) to LV side.
I appriciate anyhelp.
Thank You.
