Changing Font Size of a dimension

Changing Font Size of a dimension

Changing Font Size of a dimension

(OP)
I am working in Catia V5 R17 Generative Shape design and need to increase the font size of my dimensions.  I can revise them in 2D but have had no luck in a normal 3D model.  I look forward to someone showing me the way!

RE: Changing Font Size of a dimension

Are you asking about dimensions in a Sketch (constraints), or dimensions you made with the FT&A workbench (annotations)?

and annotation or dimension in GSD 3D.  I understand how to revise the font size in sketcher.

RE: Changing Font Size of a dimension

You can change the lettering height in the TEXT PROPERTIES toolbar, when you are in the FT&A workbench. Either select the height from the list, or key-in a new height.

Another way is use the FONT tab in PROPERTIES.

OK, I am really going to show my ignorance!  What is an FT&A workbench?

RE: Changing Font Size of a dimension

Functional Tolerancing & Annotation Workbench.

Y14.41 Compliant workbench that you are using to make your annotations in 3D.

OK lets continue to expose on my ignorance! Exactly how do I get to this workbench?  and then, what do I do to revise the font size and style of my dimension text.

RE: Changing Font Size of a dimension

I'm guessing that someone has customized your environment...

How are you adding dimensions with the GSD workbench? There is no "dimensioning" capability in GSD (unless it was added in R17).

Are you able to get to the PROPERTIES of your dimensions, and can you change the size there?

RE: Changing Font Size of a dimension

(OP)
Yes I can get the properties popup in my dimensions.  I can revise the color and size of the lines and revise the color of the background in the box around the dimension but there is not font tab as there is when I view a dimension in 2D or sketcher.

RE: Changing Font Size of a dimension

Any chance of posting an image of your screen, so we can try to figure out what you're working with?

If not, what highlights in the tree when you select the dimension?

I'm still not sure how you're creating those 3D dimension?

RE: Changing Font Size of a dimension

From his description of it sounds like he may just be using the "measure" button.

But I'm not sure how to change the size on that.
