Moment of Inertia

Moment of Inertia

Moment of Inertia

(OP)
Hello

Using the Mass properties in Solidworks allows to plot the principal moments of inertia of a part. But I was really interested in knowing the "total" inertia of the part, not the inertia for each axis. Is there any way to use the moments from each axis to determine this "total" value? any equation or so?

Thanks in advance

RE: Moment of Inertia

Are you thinking of the area moment of inertia or second moment of inertia?  Tools > Section Properties
