(OP)

Hello,

I have modeled a composite cylinder with stringers and frames (the model is fixed at one end and subject to a downward force at the free end). I am trying to display shear stress in the skin; however, shear stress values (average of all layers) are almost zero. This does not make sense!

How to display shear stress values for a composite cylinder would be my question.

Thanks

Hi A'500

It seems your continuing with your model from your previous post.
I'm on holiday so i can only keep this short and sweet, otherwise the missus will have me!!
I dont have Patran laoded onto my laptop so i cant eplicate the process as such, but have you tried the following:
Do you post process the Z1 and or Z2 directions, otherwise it wont show quads etc.
