(OP)
I am fairly new to Primavera 5.0, well primavera in general. I cannot understand what the purpose of the WBS is. can someone answer that? I looked at one of my collegues schedules and I cannot understand anything in the WBS. I bought a $200 class offline of Primavera.com to help out, but my software seems to be different then the one they show. Ativitycodes, what do they do? Do you need them? Do you have to assign people to projects? i understand the codes are for tracking(can't think of the word), but how do I know what ones I need to use? Is that a thing that comest with time? If anyone could help me out a little bit and make some of these things just a tad bit simpler, I would appreciate it! Oh! And how do you make the % complete get to 100% in the activity in the activity table? Whoever answers, you are a savior!!!
thanks,
Kristy

RE: New....
For example, you have created a WBS for Mechanical Works or Electrical Works portion; the items or below them are called the work activities, they are listed in their priority sequence or they are listed from the first item of work, down to the last and they are interconnected by each predecessor and succesor works until they are completed.
Activity codes are necessary in order to track down or narrow the activity when you update them, it is also important since it will determine the successor or predecessor (sequence of activities) of the work you are currently updating.
You can assign activity codes on every activities you want to create. Say, Work Category, Supply Category, Area Category, Manpower, Procurement and others that you want to categorized.
