Possible import problem leading to mesh problem?

Possible import problem leading to mesh problem?

(OP)
I am new to SolidWorks/COSMOS and most of these types of tools so please bare with me.

I believe my problem is stemming from importing a .STEP file from Altium Designer.  When I run the checker it says something about open surfaces.  When I click on the different messages it seems to point to random places on the PCB board that appear to be just fine.

Is there a way to fix this?

It would be very difficult to create the PCB board and all of the components/tracks within SolidWorks so we thought this import would be a good option.

I have gone through the relevant tutorials and help topics with no luck so far.

I'm using SolidWorks Premium '07

Thank you,

Tara
