anyone has experience with oring sealing .
We have oring seal on butterfly valve disc. Flow push oring outside its groove.
there nay construction solution to solve and void this problem?

valve is used with water at max 6 bar

in the valve is generated quite hi velocity ...about 1,5 mxsec

sorry, I have no idea about this matter. But I didn't see the o-ring sealed butterfly valve on plate. Is it the structure same as tri-eccentrical one?

      what are the current groove shape and o-ring material & section?
      I believe there is a proper geometrical design and material selection capable of preventing extrusion of the seal... try also consulting o-rings Manufacturers catalogues and asking the question on the forum819: Mechanical Seal engineering within this site.

      I think that the valve in object is most probably a "standard" or high-performance butterfly valve (i.e. with no more than two off-sets), as the triple-offset rotary valves are usually metal seated (and then disc gasket is a metal spiral wound one).

correct ..the valve is a double eccentric b-fly the groove shape is square on conical taper(disc sealing aarea surface) ....
