SAE Port Feature Details

SAE Port Feature Details

(OP)
Hi All,

We use Hydraulic Valve packs for our systems for many applications having SAE ports on them.I am new to this field. We use Port(hole) types like PRV,SCV,DCV,S-4A,S-4B,H-1...etc.We are in the process of updating/re-engineering our design process.
I was wondering where can I get correct information and profile details of these ports. Can I get this information from SAE website? Plese advise me some source where can I get/buy details of these port features.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Regds,

RE: SAE Port Feature Details

I suspect you do not have SAE ports but cartridge valve ports and they can be manufacturer-specific.  Contact your cartridge valve manufacturers and get their catalogs with their port specifications.  The port designations you list look like valve model designations.  If you make your own manifolds, your shop probably has porting tools to cut those specific ports.

Hi Ted,

You are absolutely correct.I was out of town few days. I just found your reply.
Initially somebody guided in wrong direction.Later I digged down for details by taking mating cartridge valve part number and gone through our vendor's catalogues and found the details I was looking for.I was very disparate at that time. Many thanks for your reply.
