scale on lines when printing

scale on lines when printing

scale on lines when printing

(OP)
I got a drawing from an architect, this drawing was in .dwg (autocad) I imported it into SE into the 2D Model sheet.

I did a new sheet (A4) and scaled it down to fit a A4 paper that we use (fore printing and sending .pdf) . In the 2d model sheet the lines where about 0,3mm thick but I would like them to get thinner easy like scaling them thinner.

There is a printing option at print --> settings --> scale line types.

But it do not work when I imported parts of the 2d model into a4 sheets.. (to scale in 1:200)

The lines will get finer if I take a print of the 2d model part. But not if when I print in the sheets I made from the 2d model (to get the scaling right).

Is there anyway I can make all the lines get like 25% thinner when I make my drawing so that  don’t have to change al the lines in style..

I have a template I have made for our A4 drawings but it doesn’t work when I try to use it. The thickness used in the .dwg drawings is still there.

RE: scale on lines when printing

Anders,
On the Print > Settings form there are 2 settings - scale line types and scale line widths. You need these to be checked on.
However, if I understand you correctly, your sheet is already A4, so if you print at A4 these settings will have no effect.
Leave the original drawing size and scale as they were on the ACad drawing.
Then at print time scale it down to fit A4 with the scale settings on.

RE: scale on lines when printing

Anders,

you may also try this:

- switch to model view and use SmartSelect from the menue bar.
There check LineWidth --> select one line. All lines with that width
will be automatically selected. Then you can choose a different
line width from the PopUp within the ribbon bar.
