Camless Engine

(OP)
Does anyone know where I can get the details of a company that could supply some solenoids and driver circuit to replace a camshaft on a small 4 stroke motorcycle engine. It is a university project (Kingston)the valves weigh about 40 - 45 gramms and the switching time from closed to open and then closed again will be about 1.5 -3 ms. A voltage supply upto 42 volts could be used if required.

Also could I use an alternative to poppet valves? If I did would it make it a great deal easier to operate? Possible less power (slider valves).

Any comments would be welcome!
