B31.1 section 122.1.7 Valves

B31.1 section 122.1.7 Valves

B31.1 section 122.1.7 Valves

(OP)
Section 122.1.7 of the B31.1 Power Piping Code under Para.(A)Steam Stop Valves (A1)states- Boiler stop valves shall provide bidirectional shutoff at design conditions. That's pretty clear to me - all BEP steam valves should provide shutoff in both directions.  However-does the description 'Boiler Stop Valves' just mean Steam stop valves or does this apply to (B) Feedwater valves, (C) Blowoff valves, etc?  And is it only steam valves that need bidirectional shut off?
