Config table problem

Config table problem

Config table problem

(OP)
Morning all.
Bit rainy here in the Midwest. Hope you're all doing well.

I would like, on the configurations tab, for the part numbers to be fully spelled out after the configuration name.  See picture 1 for the way it should be.  Picture 2 is the way it currently is.

Can anyone help on this?

Thanks in advance.

MORE INFO:

In order to get the numbers to view in full I have to right click the configuration, click properties and enter the full number in the 'Bill of Materials Options' area as shown in picture 3.  At that point I get the message in picture 4 saying that changing this field will update a cell in the design table.  I assume this is what you mean about linking from the design table.  In any case, this has to be done for every configuration that has a part number on it.

It changes back to the wrong display every time the design table is opened up for editing.

Can anyone help with this thing?

Thanks,

Rip

RE: Config table problem

Looks like a problem with cell formatting in your design table.  Whichever column of the design table controls that number should be formatted as "Text" rather than "Number" or "General".
