RE: compatibility Ansys 8-Windows Vista

You should be able to...never know til you try though ay?

RE: compatibility Ansys 8-Windows Vista

A bad release as v.8 kept running on an exaggerately up-to-date operating system (afaik, no serious professionnel is using Vista for real work with technical applications) are two indices of either a pirated copy of Ansys or good time to renew the support fee and get newer Ansys...

RE: compatibility Ansys 8-Windows Vista

11) Will ANSYS 11.0 work with Windows Vista?
No, V11 will not work with Windows Vista. A service pack is expected which will update V11 to be able to work with Vista. No date has been provided for when the SP is expected.

Nope, Ansys (Any version) and many other technical softwares (Origin, etc..) won't work on Vista. I bought a notebook that came with Vista OS, I had a hard time removing it. (I don't see a reason to release a new OS if most of the softwares aren't compatible yet).
