Water flow simulation in catia

Water flow simulation in catia

(OP)
I am a beginner in Catia. I want to do some basic water flow simulation. I have already simulated my device in digital mockup, now I just need to simulate some sort of water flow, like water flowing out of a pipe. Nothing detail is needed just to show that water is flowing. I know there are third party softwares, but can I do it in catia without them. Where can I find more info.

Also one more question. How do I simulate a chain going around a gear. Do I create one bit of the chain and then assemble many of them together and then simulate the joints but that does not sound feasible.

RE: Water flow simulation in catia

well software like ansys and fleunt  forget to get a trail

it seems that tey do not want to let you try

i guess they have to many error
we tried for a 1/2 year to get a trail in catia

wasted lot of time  to get a trail with out any luck

RE: Water flow simulation in catia

I'm just coming to the end of a 1 month trial with Ansys, which has proved quite useful, I've been able to do quite a few simple analyses without having had any kind of training, it seems quite easy to pick up. Not sure how you could do this in Catia without any 3rd party software or plug in.

RE: Water flow simulation in catia

the chain around a gear can be done with point on curve connection in kinematics
