To Make inch stay as default in drafting?

To Make inch stay as default in drafting?

To Make inch stay as default in drafting?

(OP)
This question has probably come up many many time, but here it goes anyway.....How do I make inch stay as my default in drafting.  Soon after I make the change it reverts back to millimeters.  I'm following the instructions from the online documents, but the changes that I make don't stay very long.  Would this be a "read only" thing or what??

RE: To Make inch stay as default in drafting?

Hello,

You are right we talk about this a zillion times at least.

first change your drafting XML file (as catia admin)
then make a new drawing with the proper standard

this should work

then with previous drawing go in page setup and update standard with new one.

done.

Usually if the XML file is not clean, then it does not work. get some tools to edit xml file that will help, then compare iso and ansi file searchfor NUM.DIMM and replace by NUM.DINC.
