Does anyone know or has anyone researched how to find out what to use for ground snow loads in porter county indiana?

RE: ground snow loads in nw indiana

why don't you just call the porter county indiana building department and ask them? Ground snow loads are usually established by the jurisdiction.

RE: ground snow loads in nw indiana

The 2003 Indiana Building Code adopts the 2000 IBC with provisions and modifications. The ground snow load follows Figure 1608.2. Porter County is in both 25 and 30 lb areas.
The Indiana code says to use the worst case throughout the entire county. Be careful though if the project is close to the Lake, some cities may have issued special loading.
