Tube Receiver for Solar Central Receiver Plant

Tube Receiver for Solar Central Receiver Plant

(OP)
We want to update the SOLGATE tube receiver for Solar4.
Ours will be in two stages with the first operating at up to 750C, and the second operating at up to 900C

We want to use Helium at 20 Bar as the fluid.
OD of the tube is 30mm  or 25mm.

We are thinking of using Stainless grade 321 for the first stage at up to 750C and Stainless grade 253MA for the second stage at up to 900C.  Max temp is achieved in afternoons for about 2 hours after which the unit cools to ambient.

Are these alloys good choices, or should we consider something else?  Any idea of suitable wall thickness?

Warmest regards,

Dr. George W. Oprisko
