Large Pad Footing / Small Slab on Grade Design Book

Large Pad Footing / Small Slab on Grade Design Book

Can anyone recommend a good book with examples of structural design of large pad footings and or slab on grade foundations?

The book needs to have design examples, not some 200 page book with all sorts of professor like wine and cheese text blathering on about the finer points of soil interaction and tons of information that is useless in the real world. I already have 3 of those.

I want a real world book that designs and details:

1) footing size

2) reinforcment required (for eccentrically loaded foundations)

3) BASIC soil interactions ergo passive resistance, bearing for overturning etc.

I've sized a number of these using past examples and my best grasp of things, but it would be nice to see some others thoughts and examples.

Thanks in advance

The "CRSI Handbook" is one.  Has both standard tables and design examples.

I've seen the old one from 1982, thats a good idea.

How about drilled piers, any good structural design texts for those?
