Tweedy Bread Mixer Seal

Tweedy Bread Mixer Seal

Tweedy Bread Mixer Seal

(OP)
Hi group

Bread Mixer seal

80mm shaft
SiC v Rulon Faces
FDA Viton
Component Pusher Type

Any experience anyone. Is it an 'off the shelf'
seal made by one of the majors then supplied
by Tweedy

Tweedy can seal to help me as I have no serial
number for the machine as it was damaged long ago
by shot blasting I guess

Let me know if you might be able to assist

TIA

RE: Tweedy Bread Mixer Seal

Generally speaking, Rulon vs Silicon faces are not normally a standard off the shelf item.  The description you provide is very broad however you may get an FDA approved seal with alternative materials but again unlikely to get off the shelf. Worth asking!

Suggest you try, John Crane, Flow Serve, Chesterton, Burgmann who are the major companies that should help you.  Before you call, try to obtain some part numbers off the seal, any numbers you get will help and if you are lucky you may get a rep to visit you to help you out with alternative options.

Good Luck

RE: Tweedy Bread Mixer Seal

Burgmann just opened a bunch of regional service centers - if there's one near you, they can send someone onsite to help.

Timing has an awful lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.

RE: Tweedy Bread Mixer Seal

In my experience, if the equipment is European, the odds are very high that it will be a Burgmann seal; if North American, the odds are high that it will be John Crane or Flowserve, with the odds going to Flowserve.

I'd call your local rep for one of those companies, and get them to help.
