ITALIAN engineer asks for help with UL standards

ITALIAN engineer asks for help with UL standards

(OP)
HI all!
I am an italian R&D engineer, and I am developing an electronic transformer for halogen lamp 50W-120V, with 12V output. Since I have never worked with UL standards, I have some questions for you. I would relly appreciate if somebody will support me. I have read UL 1012 and UL 1310, but they are not so easy to interprete.. My questions are:
1)       What are the topics that difference UL Listed from UL Recognized? (requirements on housing, strain relief, etc)

2)       In the construction of the insulating power transformer, can I indifferently use UL 1012 or UL 1310? (I think I should refer to 1310, but I'd like to have a confirmation..)

3)       What are the requirements for the fuse? Can I use a glass fuse or a track fuse?(The doubt derives from the fact that I read the fuse should be marked..)

4)       Is potting allowed by both UL 1012 and UL 1310, or not? (I will probably pot the device..)

5) What is the minimum grade of flammability required for a polymeric enclosure for such a product? (It is a stationary device...)

Thank you very much in advance
Francesca
