Anyone know where I can find a 5mH inductor rated for 1,000 Amps?

Thanks

RE: High Currents Inductors

Depending on the voltage your looking for, at 600V you could use a drive line reactor, or one custom made by the suppliers of said.

Try Hammond, MTE, TCI.

RE: High Currents Inductors

If you can give further details, I guess I will be able to name some suppliers.

What is your application (AC or DC)?

What type of cooling is prefered ?

We are designing a high power inverter, which we're planning on water cooling.

RE: High Currents Inductors

Ritz Instrument Transformers also has reactors www.ritzusa.com

For DC-Link Inductors with watercooling look at

http://www.j-schneider.de

and

http://www.rectifier.com

From the values given in you post I assume that you are designing an DC-current link inverter in the power range of several hundred kW. In this power range there are lots of inverters, current-link as well as voltage link, available on the market and currently voltage-link designs are replacing current link designs. So I guess you will have special reasons for designing an current link inverter yourself?. It would be intresting if you could give further details.
