RE: adding words to a title block

I believe there was a conflict between a recent Microsoft Windows update and the text functionality in Inventor... Autodesk has a patch (fix) file for this... Try going onto the Autodesk website and looking for it or search for this problem here and I think you will find some help...

I LOOKED THROUGH THE UPDATES ON THE AUTODESK WEBSITE, I FOUND THE ERROR YOUR TALKING ABOUT IT IS THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING BUT THEY ONLY HAVE A FIX FOR INVENTOR 11, 10 ,AND 9. SO I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW. ANYMORE HELP?

THANKS GREG

RE: adding words to a title block

Autodesk won't support any versions of ANY of their programs older than 4 versions. For instance, AutoCAD 2000 is no longer supported since 2002, 2004, 2005, and 2007 have been released. The only suggestion I can make is to copy the last update done on a computer that hasn't received that bad update.

Sorry. Good luck. Let me know if that works or not.

RE: adding words to a title block

Remove MS Hotfix KB918118 from your computer and disable automatic updates so that it will not reinstall. There was some information out there about installing an old version of a .dll file or some such that was supposed to fix this on old releases of Inventor as well, but I don't know the particulars.
