Custom Symbols (NX3)
Custom Symbols (NX3)

Couple of questions on Custom Symbols being used as a drawing format :
1. I have a custom symbol using a variety of different character sizes. When I add it to a new file however, all of the text becomes the same size. How do I prevent this from happening ?
2. How do I go about making changes to the custom symbol ? As in, redefine it, without going through the "create" process again ? Also, for text I define as "arbitrary", or "integer", can it be edited after the symbol has been inserted ?

RE: Custom Symbols (NX3)
As for #2, I think you will have to go back and change your master "xxx.sym.prt" part file and update it. As for changing text after placing a symbol, if you've got some text that you really need to be able to edit or change, when you create the original symbol, create a notes that are linked to Attributes. Then all you have to do is edit the Attributes to update the imbedded text.

Thanks for the Customer Default. As for #2, I do use some Part Attributes. But then I noticed that when using Insert->Symbol->Custom Symbol, selecting an existing symbol allows you to edit it.
