Slow access to assemblies and drawings

(OP)
Im using a Intel Xeon CPU 2.8GHz 3.25 GB RAM computer with Windows XP in a 1Gbps network.

The problem is that it could take up to 10 min to open a drawing or assembly. This is a new problem that I have not have had before. The main assembly have something like 25000 occurrences and that I can understand will take some time to open. But it takes a lot of time to open a 5500 one to. Sometimes Inventor just dies and I have to restart the computer 20 times pre day normally.

How can I increase the performance if Inventor? Is it there a setting that I have set wrong?

/Micke
