I couldn't get the search to work, so there may be a topic on this already.

I just read a SW Tech Tip article http://www.solidworks.com/pages/services/Tech_Tips/TT_SolidWorks-Explorer.html

It stated that:

Quote:

The following operators are supported:
•  Wildcard * (asterisk)
•  Quotation Marks " " (for exact term, including spaces)
•  Spaces for compound strings (implicit AND )
•  Comparison > and < with date

Well, the wildcard doesn't work for me. Is there a special syntax(other than the normal windows syntax)? Also, I'm not sure how to use the date feature. It didn't seem to work as well. And one more! The FileExt: function doesn't work.

Anybody use these or get them to work? Any tips for using the search tool? It seems like it could be nice, but I'm using it less and less because it...well...doesn't work!

RE: Solidworks explore search

I got a little hurried and misspelled SolidWorks Explorer! So to clarify, this is concerning the SolidWorks search in SW Explorer and/or SolidWorks.
