clear height control

clear height control

(OP)
hi

we have column in the middle of the building the column with dimension is 300mm x 600mm
the width 300mm in unsafe buckling length in the ground floor in case of we consider the clear height of column start from top of foundation until the bottom of beam in first floor
but if we consider  the clear height start from the ground floor level up to the bottom of beam in first floor the column will be safe

my question is ?
how can I make the clear height start from the ground floor without adding beam in ground floor?

my idea to make pedestal 600mmx600mm
is that good idea?

thanks

best regards
