Rotating UCS

Rotating UCS

Rotating UCS

(OP)
Hello everyone,

i'm having a brain fart today.  I'm in MS and i need to change the UCS so that my grid like road system is vertical and horizontal on the screen and not diagonal.  I know how to do it but i can not think of it right now.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Juice

RE: Rotating UCS

go to view - viewpoint presents - change to relative to ucs - check ok - then type in command ucs - then on the commandline type "3" - this will ask to define a new ucs - with three points - one for base - one for x and one for y
- then go to view - named views and save it with current ucs.

RE: Rotating UCS

on the command prompt type "ucs"
then select 'view' by typing "v"

The ucs should align with the current view you're on.

RE: Rotating UCS

Another of the many possibilities:
Draw a line in the desired X direction
UCS
Object
Pick the line
UCSIcon
On

Thanks
Juice

RE: Rotating UCS

The command to rotate the view to match the UCS is "PLAN".
