Need help with SS tubing...

(OP)
Hello does anyone know if a 2" diam w/.049 wall thickness Stainless steel tube can be formed with some rings around it.  I mean an actual form of a ring around the tube that would increase its dia to 2.090" Im having trouble to find someone to manufacture it for me if you know some fabricators let me know juan.morales@mailcity.com .its not too complicated but it seems that it can't be done  please advise.. or advise on any machine that can do it.  roll forming  rings???

RE: Need help with SS tubing...

Juanitos I am not sure about your description `forming a ring but it sounds like something I came across when I worked in the muffler industry and the company you are looking for is a company called EAGLE they make all sorts of TUBE END FORMING MACHINES .I think they work out of CANADA but have reps all over .I have not looked for them on the net as its so long since I was involved they are a really good company and make some very good machines.

RE: Need help with SS tubing...

I'm sure it can be done or at least something can be
done what has the same effect.

What is the purpose of the ring ? Does it have to be
formed from the tube ? can it be a sheet metal or even wire ring attached ( e.g. spot-welded ) ? Do you want to FAX me
a sketch with tolerances etc.? (303)439-8651 ATT:Nick

Does it have to be integral part ? Why ? for sealing ?
What is the temperature etc ?
