Is there any, if possible freeware, software which could aid in plotting this kind of curves

from known data (temperature, density, enthalpy, entropy...) that I had in Excel spreadsheet?

RE: Thermodynamics diagram software

Hi there:

Since you already have the data in MS Excel, in my opinion, you are almost there.

All what you need to do is set up a few plots in MS Excel, which is an easy job today.

Once you get a few plots up and running, you might consider doing the same in MS PowerPoint so you can have slide shows and maybe jpg and/or gif files.

In the past, plotting was very difficult.

Here are a few examples for combustion products when coal is used as the fuel and standard air as the oxidant:

Thanx, that's almost the solution, and the hardest thing was to have this data in the spreadsheet. However, to describe a process (in this case, we need it for  air conditioner process) properly, it ould be the best to have classic thermodynamic diagram with all variables at one place. As you said, you (also) see the only way to combine several diagrams and then maybe put them in some layered image if possible?
I just wonder if there is some application that can plot more complicated diagrams than MSExcel, and if that application could plot what I need.

RE: Thermodynamics diagram software

Malimedo:

In MS Excel you can get more than one variable on the same plot.

However, if you would like to get fancy plots, you would need to go with a plotting software such as MAHTLAB -- which is very expensive.

Therefore, the trade off is to either stay with MS Office (MS Excel) or go with something like MATHLAB.
