Super Flat Check Valve

Super Flat Check Valve

Super Flat Check Valve

(OP)
Dear members,

Our client required "Super Flat Check Valve" on the project piping classification.

What is "Super Flat Check Valve"?

I can just guess that it is the specific brand name of the wafer check valve because client specified API 594 for that valve.

However I can not find any product on the internet.

Please give me your bright knowledge...

Always Thanks....

RE: Super Flat Check Valve

i highly recommend that you request clarification from the author of the project pipe spec.

i am not familiar with that term.

good luck!

RE: Super Flat Check Valve

Seeing how the OP is (aeronautics), the requirements could be just about anything.
What is superflat for the customer, my be a standard product for someone else.

RE: Super Flat Check Valve

Check-All makes a check valve that is inserted between two flanges.  When the flange is made-up it adds 1/4" to 1-1/16" separation to the flange faces depending on pipe size, material, and pressure class.  2" pipe and below is 1/4" separation.

Good luck,
Latexman

RE: Super Flat Check Valve

A new term for me also.

What kind of piping system is it going into? Just curious.

RE: Super Flat Check Valve

Maybe they mean a checkvalve that´s only 1 or 2mm between the gaskets

RE: Super Flat Check Valve

When such 'special' descriptions occur, most often the originator has a special valvetype from a special maker in mind. Superflat can come from a commercial presentation.

Go to the source!

That said, wafer check valves comes in a number of types and constructions, materials and sealing properties. To mention the most common wafer types: (top) hinged disc, double disc (central stem), disc (axial movement of disc).

The suitability to any process will vary according to type and construction.
