Cleaning Options for Feedwater Heater Steam Supply Line

Cleaning Options for Feedwater Heater Steam Supply Line

(OP)
I was looking to see what reccomendations/options anyone had on cleaning a new steam supply for a 1st point feedwater heater after construction. I have been looking at some startup documents, but no good information is available for feedwater supply lines (lots on main steam line "steam blows"). Would a basic flush or alkaline cleaning be sufficient? Some information on the system:

- system contains 5x feedwater heaters, deaerator, and condensate polisher
- coal fired unit
- this will be a secondary mainsteam supply to the 1st point feedwater heater

Thanks for the help.

RE: Cleaning Options for Feedwater Heater Steam Supply Line

What do you mean 'secondary mainsteam supply to first point heater'?  Is this a supercritical unit? what is the "primary" mainsteam supply to the heater?  Is it cold reheat?  If so what are you cleaning the cold reheat lines with?
