BUDGET ESTIMATES FOR BUILDING UTILITIES

BUDGET ESTIMATES FOR BUILDING UTILITIES

BUDGET ESTIMATES FOR BUILDING UTILITIES

(OP)
Hello.  I was wondering if there are posted or recommended budget numbers for utilities costs for a large facility (manufacturing).  If they exist, I assume they would be dependant on the seasonal weather conditions experienced in that area. (I'm in Ontario - about 50%-50% summer-winter balance)
e.g. large 250,000 sq ft manufacturing plant

I was looking for something like:
1. lighting costs per sq ft of floor space
2. heating costs for same.  Natural gas.

Any information you may have would be helpful.

Thanks.

RE: BUDGET ESTIMATES FOR BUILDING UTILITIES

cfordyce,

I can only help with European installation cost ratios from the 2006 edition of the Prijzenboekje:

lighting
250 lux .... from 20 to 27 EUR/m2
500 lux .... from 37 to 48 EUR/m2
750 lux .... from 48 to 64 EUR/m2
1000 lux ... from 59 to 75 EUR/m2

emergency lighting ... from 10 to 13 EUR/m2

heating depends on the cubic meters of the building;
for manufacturing buildings assume between 11 and 16 EUR per m3

Kind Regards,
hahor
