Connection Flange

Connection Flange

Connection Flange

(OP)
I have a connection flange attaching a dive lock to a dive tower. The connection flange is 74" id, 81" od with (80) 7/8" bolts in the pattern. The shell SA-516 GR70 1/2" plate. My thinking is to match the connection flange thickness (which is A36 3/4" plt) originating from the dive tower. By what method would one go about verifying this? So far I have only found UG-44 in ASME B&PVC.

RE: Connection Flange

Tried looking at Appendix 2?

Mike

I do agree with SnTMan (Mechanical)

ASME CODE: Section VIII, Division 1, Replace Flange by Appendix 2 Flanges.

or

ASME CODE: Section VIII, Division 2, Replace Flange by Appendix 3 Flanges

OR AWWA

Thank you,
Yes, using Appendix 2 worked out well.
