The End of Mil-Hdbk-5 (reprise)

The End of Mil-Hdbk-5 (reprise)

The End of Mil-Hdbk-5 (reprise)

(OP)
Ever since my old Mil-Hdbk-5 thread was archived, I've seen more postings popping up asking "Where can I find the new AR-MMPDS-01 / 02 / 03 on the web?"

This data has been surprisingly hard to access.  Presumably someone wanted to turn all these engineers trying to meet their project deadlines into a cash cow.  Naturally, it has become possible to purchase copies of the documents from sites like IHS or the AIAA.  Or, go to the source at www.mmpds.org   Those who choose to do so probably benefit from updates via subscription and the like.  As others have pointed out, the evolution of the document is rather minor at this stage, so few of us will profit from seeing the updates.

As of July, 2007, this link still works:

http://www2.tech.purdue.edu/at/courses/at308/Technical_Links/MMPDS/OptionsMenu.pdf

I would recommend to the users of hi-speed internet connections to download all of the chapters so that you will have it on hand at all times, instead of relying on somebody else's website which may someday be bought/sold/formatted/censored/stolen/whatever.

If you prefer to use the previous Mil-Handbook-5 document, either because you don't care, or you're old enough to remember when it was called ANC-5, then you can always find it on ASSIST:
