Custom properties of sub-assemblies

Custom properties of sub-assemblies

In a drawing of a multi-level assembly, I want to link text to a sub-assembly's custom properties, not its' components. Balloons do this automatically, but I can not find a way to do this with a note.

RE: Custom properties of sub-assemblies

When a note's leader is attached to a component, you can select the option to use properties of component leader is attached to.  You may have already discovered that this picks up the bottom-level part, not the mid-level subassembly.

To get arounf this, you can attach the leader to a non-component entity of the subassembly, such as a sketch curve.

Thanks TheTick,
I will try with a sketch, I could not get it to work with planes or axes.
