caustic soda 30% tank

caustic soda 30% tank

caustic soda 30% tank

(OP)
Anybody there who can help me decide on material of storage tank which will be used to store caustic soda 30% and shall be stored outside under direct sunlight. SS304, PVC and mild steel with corrosion coating i.e epoxy lining, nickel, as par as I know can be used for these. Am I right? By the way we will store about 29 tons of caustic soda. Thanks for any advice.

RE: caustic soda 30% tank

In general, I would disqualify PVC because it is not robust like steel or SS.  Specifically, I would disqualify PVC for a direct sunlight application.

Did you mean GRP (glass reinforced polymer)?

Good luck,
Latexman
