Textures in drawings?

Textures in drawings?

Textures in drawings?

(OP)
I cannot seem to get any textures applied to surfaces to show in a drawing.  Is this possible?  What I need is a nice iso picture of my part with iso dimensions.  I bring an iso view into a blank (no format) drawing add the dimensions and set the view to "shaded with edges".  All the custom face colors come in, but no textures.  Is there another way to get what I am after? I need the textures to convey details that are to small and numerous to model.

Thanks in advance,

Timelord

RE: Textures in drawings?

Change/add the texture on the part first, it will show on the dwg.

I guess I should have mentioned that I am on SW2005 SP5.0.
It sure doesn't work for me.  I had to do a print preview from the part drawing with a print screen and paste into powerpoint to get the picture I wanted.  Maybe I will consider upgrading in the future.

Thanks,

Timelord

RE: Textures in drawings?

I believe the ability to show textures in drawings was introduced in SW06.

cheers
