attaching to SS sheet metal
attaching to SS sheet metal
(OP)
What would be the best way of attaching something to a stainless steel sheet, so it does not separate? I am afaid that the object will shear off at the points where it is fastened with screws. BTW, there is plywood behind the sheet metal, which is not a great base for the screws to anchor to.
Any suggestion of alternative fasteners?
Any suggestion of alternative fasteners?

RE: attaching to SS sheet metal
- under what load, i.e. force?
- in what load directin, i.e. pullout, shear, etc.
- in what environment?
- from how thick a sheet?
- of what stainless alloy?
In general, the answer is that any joint can be made to separate, somehow, so your answer is the null set, unless you constrain the problem.
