4-20mA to optical fiber converter

4-20mA to optical fiber converter

4-20mA to optical fiber converter

(OP)
Does someone knows a product that can receive some analog(4-20mA) and digital inputs, multiplex them, send them trough optical fibre and at the other end of the fiber, reconvert them in analog and digital signals.

Help will be appreciate.

Regards,

RE: 4-20mA to optical fiber converter

Hi, can you provide more details, eg. number of channels, bandwidth, optical cable length

RE: 4-20mA to optical fiber converter

(OP)
From point A t point B, There are 1500 meters.
I plan to install two cable of six multimodes fibers 62.5/125 microns.

I need to get from B to piont A, 4 analog signals(4-20mA) and 2 digital signals(dry contacts).

Also I need to send from point A to point B, 5 analog signals(4-20mA).

Regards,

RE: 4-20mA to optical fiber converter

Hi, I need to know the minimum bandwidth you need for each signal. thanks

RE: 4-20mA to optical fiber converter

(OP)
I dont know what bandwidth is needed but those signals are only for information and not for control.  So a resolution of 16 bits and a one refresh per second shall be enough.

I dont know if that can help you but thanks for your help.

Regards,

RE: 4-20mA to optical fiber converter

Hi, the speed is no problem but the 16 bit resolution is, that sort of accuracy is difficult and therefore expensive. If you can get by on 12 bits then I can probably help.

RE: 4-20mA to optical fiber converter

(OP)
12 bits will be just fine.
