HI, CAN ANYBODY PLEASE HELP.
IM PRESENTLY EN INSPECTING A 415V 3Ph MACHINE FOR A COMPANY AND THEY ARE ARGUING OVER THE COLOUR OF CONDUCTORS AFTER THE TRANSFORMER THAT CONVERTS THE VOLTAGE TO 220V 3Ph.
UP TO THE TRANSFORMER THE CONDUCTORS ARE BLACK INDICATING POWER CIRCUITS. AFTER THE TRANSFORMER THEY ARE RED INDICATING CONTROL CIRCUITS. THE COMPANY IM WORKING FOR ARE WANTING THE MANUFACTURER TO CHANGE THE RED CABLES TO BLACK TO INDICATE POWER. READING THE EN60204 I WOULD SAY AFTER THE TRANSFORMER THEY ARE CONTROL? THE MANUFACTURER IS AGAINST REPLACING THE CABLES. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP, WHAT COLOUR SHOULD THE CONDUCTORS AFTER THE TRANSFORMER AND ARE THEY CLASSED AS CONTROL CONDUCTORS? MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE

Hello!

(It will be a lot easier to read your posts if you switch off the Caps Lock)

Three-phase power for a motor is three-phase power. Nothing else.

Why do you think there are control circuits after the transformer? If the transformer were a control transformer (single phase, supplying control circuits), yes then it would be control circuits.

But this transformer is three-phase supplying a power circuit. So the wires are in a power circuit. No discussion.

Thanks for your reply, im not a expert in this field.
As you can tell. I beleive the conductors from the transformer are running straight to inverters. So would you still class them as power. Thanks again for your reply.

Yes.
