DC Short Circuit Calculation Standards, Again....

DC Short Circuit Calculation Standards, Again....

(OP)
Sorry, All, but I also am trying to get my hands on General Electric's Industrial Power Systems Data Book, or at least the article concerning DC Short Circuit Calculations (are you out there, BJC?).  The Data Book is mentioned in thread238-147340: DC short-circuit, thread238-98267: DC power protection references, and thread238-6870: Alarm system for 480V ungrounded systems.  I do see that it is at either MIT or Taiwan University (see http://uwashington.worldcat.org/oclc/59713910) but that doesn't help me much.

I called GE's Whitney Library in Schenectady and they said they wouldn't have it.  They referred me to Genium who also didn't have it.  The librarian in Schenectady said it was obsolete and both she and Genium (http://www.genium.com/about/) made it sound like it is totally unsupported.

Anyway, I did find J. C. Das' book, "Power System Analysis: Short-Circuit Load Flow and Harmonics" , 2002, most helpful so far.  But, he too, makes a few references to the GE book.

Thanks for any help!

RE: DC Short Circuit Calculation Standards, Again....

It's long out of print, I suspect.  I don't have copy, but I know some people who do.  Your best bet is to try to find a retired GE engineer, if there any in your area.

RE: DC Short Circuit Calculation Standards, Again....

I have it.
I think it's on my shirt pocket size 160 MB UBS powered hard drive. It will take a while to find it.  I knowit is on my  other PC in whic I can't send it till tonight.
We need that smart guy who can tell us how to send it.
