Crude characterization for HYSIS model
Crude characterization for HYSIS model
(OP)
I'm looking for a procedure/tool to convert a crude assay sheet to a TBP curve (or ASTM) in order to fill my models of HYSIS.
Thanks for your help in advance.

In a Basis Environment window, there is Oil Manager tab with button that moves you to Oil Environment.
Add an assay in oil environment and enter all available data from crude assay. Is this what you are searching for?

However, the problem I encounter is different. To illustrate it, I enclose the data I have:
ATMOSPHERIC DISTILLATION:
IBP -> C5; FBP -> 65 => 3.8%
IBP -> 65; FBP -> 100 => 5.0%
IBP -> 100; FBP -> 150 => 7.0%... etc.
VACUUM DISTILLATION:
IBP -> 370; FBP -> 475 => 15%
IBP -> 475; FBP -> 525 => 5.7%... etc.
These data cannot be fed directly to HYSIS as the available input assays are TBP, ASTM distillations, chromatograph and EFV.
How can I convert these data to any of HYSIS input formats?

Its the engine behind OLGA (flow model) for properties and many large oil companies uses PVTsim. If you work for an oil company i will bet that you have license for this or a similar product (one other name that i recall is infochem)

You have TBP distillation it should be entered like:
Assey percent Temperature (degC)
3.8 65
8.8 100
15.8 150
etc....
